It has a latching mechanism, which means it's switched on by the user and then remains on until it's switched off again. That means there's no need for continuous compression. This common switch is found in everything from stereos to small equipment and central heating.
There's a durable black nylon actuator (switch) with a length of 12.7 mm. The case is manufactured from glass-filled nylon for effective insulation. It houses three gold-plated contacts that are tarnish-resistant for better performance. This product will operate from -30°C to +85°C.
