Microchip MPLAB Xpress MCU Development Board DM164140

The DM164140 from Microchip is a cloud based, IDE (Integrated Development Environment) development board. Nicknamed the MPLAB Xpress, it allows you to easily get started with developing in a simplified IDE. Based in the cloud means that you will not require any software and can develop on any computer, from anywhere providing you have a network connection. Not to mention, Microchips cloud-based environment is free to use.

On-board the DM164140 is Microchips PIC16F18855 MCU. This MCU is an 8-bit device that handles low power consumption but enough performance to handle any application task. Not to mention, the peripherals of the MCU can be setup graphically using the MCC (MPLAB Code Configurator) plugin, saving you mass amounts of time. This board also allows easy system expansion with the on-board MikroBus expansion header. Over 180 MikroElektronika ClickTM expansion boards are available to be added.
