Winslow brings you a series of high quality machined DIP sockets. They are an open frame type of socket and are made from a PBT housing for reliability. The contacts are gold over nickel-plated (0.3μm) with beryllium-copper inner contact with a tin-plated brass outer shell. They are rated up to 1000 insertions.
These IC DIP sockets are brilliant use for non-permanent development work, they will allow you to debug your system before any permanent soldering takes place.
