Insulated Pliers

High quality ’Orange’ safety tools, insulated, tested and marked in accordance with the requirements of the UK Electricity Supply Industry. The insulation materials used have excellent mechanical and electrical properties (over temperature range -20°C to +70°C) and are tested to a minimum of 10000 V, 50 Hz for 3 mins at various stages of manufacture. The insulation is positively bonded to the tool, impact resistant, fire retardant and resistant to most acids. To ensure visual safety should the insulation become damaged, the final coat is ’orange’ and preceding coats are ’white’. These tools are designed to help protect the user during live working, accidental contact or ’flashover’ when working on or adjacent to energised systems, and are guaranteed up to 1000V.
