Introducing the 3M™ 5490, this PTFE tape uses a Brown extruded Polytetrafluoroethylene offering with PTFE integrated and a silicone adhesive offering high-temperature performance. This tape provides a non-stick, low friction surface for a broad range of surfaces, including metals, plastics and wood. The 3M 5490 tape provides shear strength, surface adhesion and the thicker backing helps to extend the life when subjected to abrasion and wear. The excellent abrasion resistance makes it ideal for many tough impact wear or sliding applications.
